Detached Bungalow
Project: Detached Bungalow Slate Roof
Overview
This detached bungalow project was all about combining high-performance materials with a touch of traditional craftsmanship. The result is a roof that’s not only built to last, but also adds real character to the home.
What We Did
The customer supplied Actis Hybrid Boost’R insulated breather membrane, which we installed to provide excellent insulation and breathability—keeping the home comfortable year-round. We used grade B treated battens for solid support, and finished the roof with beautiful Chinese Sobrano Premier slates, each one fixed securely with grade 316 stainless steel slate hooks and copper nails for maximum durability.
To complete the look and performance, we installed a dry ridge system for a maintenance-free finish. On the frontage, we added hand-cut verge and diamond details, creating a unique feature that really sets the property apart.
